Here's the way it all started -
Sunsations began when nudists members from various clubs in Southwest Florida noticed the cohesion they had as a group, and the ability they shared to organize events and coordinate trips, allowing them to travel en masse to distant nudist clubs. Soon the group was enjoying "buffet style dinners" and hot tub parties consisting of more than 20 people, and the decision was made to apply for provisional status with AANR. At the very first "club" meeting, the membership requirement for an AANR charter was met and surpassed, with 19 members contributing dues to the brand new organization. After several hours of hot (tub) debate, and lots of great food, the name Sunsations seemed to have a "nice ring".
In January 2000 - Sunsations was the first Club to receive a provisional status with AANR in the new millennium, making it the newest club to bring in the 21st century in the nude. And so, FANR's newest club of the 21st century was born.
